Welcome to Honley Football Clubs Official Website.
Our New Website is HERE
The 2014-15 has now come to completion with all four of our teams doing well in their respective leagues:
Our West Riding team made it through to the West Riding County Trophy Semi-Final (Woodlesford) for the second year in succession. The game was played in good spirit, but our boys bowed out at the hands of Weatherby Athletic 3-2. However they made amends for that result by beating Salts 1-3 on the final game of the season and therefore winning the West Riding Division 2 league title.
(Manager Richard Bray - left - and Captain Daniel Knutton lifting the League winners Cup).
Our Second team finished their season in the Huddersfield and District Division 2 in a very respectable 6th place. Their season aim was to avoid relegation having stepped into the shoes of the first team, but they've put in some fine performances. Well done to the team and first season manager Sean Clegg.
Our Third team concluded the league in fantastic form, finishing in fourth place and that position may well still gain them possible promotion from the Huddersfield & District Res Div 4. Watch this space.
The Fourth team had a wonderful 3-3 draw with top of the table Lindley Saddle in one of their last fixtures in the Huddersfield Works League Premier Division. They finished with 18 points, having struggled to gain any in their first 6 fixtures this was a tremendous way to complete their season, in 8th place.

ARCHIVE - 2013/14
In the 2013-14 season all 3 teams gave a good account of themselves.
The First team finished in the top four in the second division. Having started very strongly, they experienced a lull period in the New Year which saw them in a mid-table position. They finished strongly however to secure fourth place.
The first team also progressed to the Final of the West Riding Trophy and played at Woodlesford. They were leading 2-1 in the 93rd minute of normal time, but a late equaliser took the game into extra time. Honley then had an opportunity to win on penalties with their fifth kick, but it was saved and their opponents Settle FC went on to win the contest in a sudden-death shoot-out.
The Reserve team also had a lull in the New Year but still managed to rally to ensure that their final game was a title contender with Newsome. Unfortunately they lost out to a very good Newsome team but can be very satisfied with a great season and a top three finish.
The third team have also had a fantastic season which has seen them in the top four most of the campaign. A final day victory also saw them leap frog into a final third placed position, so well done to all involved.
ARCHIVE - Season 2012/13
The season is complete and congratulations go out to our first team, who have been promoted and their win at Wooldale on Tuesday (30th April) ensured that they also took the Div 3 title. On Friday (3rd May) they also lifted the Groom cup to make it a double and a 2-0 victory against Brooks made it 100 goal difference also. Good work mgr Rich Bray and assistant Andy Scotcher.
Groom Cup Winners 2013
The second team reached the semi-final of their cup competition and Dave Slats and Carl Devonish have excelled in navigating the team to securing a very commendable third place in the Res Div 1. Job well done.
The third team have achieved a very respectable top 8 finish. Even mgr Dean Brown chipped in with a final day goal, although 2nd team mgr Dave Slats helped oppo to score winner and 1st team mgr Brays 8 min cameo at 2-2 ended in a 4-2 defeat. Stick to your regulars boys, but great stuff by James Coates and Dean Brown.
